Samsung intros trifecta of Galaxy Duos in India, new Ace included

Sammy isn't taking its foot off the handset-making accelerator anytime soon. The company announced it's bringing three of its galactic machines along for an Indian ride, and while we'd previously met the dual-SIM packin' pair, the Galaxy Ace Duos is seeing life for the first time in its double-threat form. Sporting the same 832MHz CPU as its siblings, as well as a 3.5-inch display, 1650mAh battery and GSM / CDMA capabilities, the newcomer isn't much more powerful, but at least offers more screen real estate and an extra pinch of juice to get you through the day. UK: Samsung Galaxy Ace Purple now available from O2
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungO2Galaxy Ace
If you’re looking for a “different” budget Android smartphone, maybe O2 UK has something for you. The Telefónica-owned operator is now offering the Samsung Galaxy Ace Purple, which as you can imagine is a version of the Galaxy Ace in purple. Not sure why the name change was needed, but hey – God knows what the marketing folks of today’s mobile operators are thinking. As far as I’m concerned it could be just an SEO trick to get people googling “galaxy” and “purple” to O2′s website.
Anyway, aside from the color change, there’s not a single difference under the hood. In other words, expect the same 800MHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, HSPA and Wi-Fi connectivity, GPS, Bluetooth and so on.
