LG Viewty Smart Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

Despite the disappointing camera, the Viewty has good basic apps, plenty of storage, long battery life and a great screen for watching movies.

The camera is very impressive, viewing video and listening to music were both great when using decent headphones, and the browser too is a sound one. Overall, this is an impressively stylish and capable phone with an exceptional camera for a very reasonable price.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

LG's Viewty Smart is a good camera phone and the S-Class UI is rich and engaging but there are plenty of faults. The interface is sluggish, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack and the included mobile browser is poor.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The LG Viewty Smart builds on the success of the original Viewty, boosting the specification to match the best that 2009 has to offer. While it looks like a smartphone, and has definite smartphone functions, the new Viewty GC900 is primarily a camera phone – a potential digital camera-killer.

letsgomobile‘s review Edit

With help of the built-in GPS antenna, combined with Google Maps, routes can be planned. The operation system is perfect for multimedia; in particular the special multimedia home screen provides an extraordinary experience. The LG Viewty Smart smartphone is not a bad choice at all, although personally I liked the LG Arena's design just a bit more. The edge around the screen of the LG Viewty smart is a little too wide, and the phone feels a bit too light and thus somewhat cheap.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Overall the LG GC900 Viewty Smart is a great camera phone that packs in a range of features for mobile snappers. The performance falls short of a regular compact camera, but you can get some respectable images from it, and in terms of imaging, it's certainly worthy of consideration.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

All told, then, the LG Viewty Smart GC900 is a difficult beast to pin down. Its camera isn't quite good enough to make it a true camera phone, it lacks a sophisticated enough web browser and email client to even come close to rivalling the iPhone or other smartphones. Its missing headphone jack and lack of hardware controls mean it's not a dedicated music phone, and it's not so cheap (like the Nokia 5800 Express Music) that it makes for a truly low cost alternative to all the other touchscreen phones. Nonetheless, it's an elegant, easy to use all rounder available at a decent price.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

The LG Viewty Smart is a good evolution of its predecessor and a fun little phone to use, as well. However, I'm not the biggest fan of LG's S-class UI and the email support on this device was also quite disappointing. The 8 megapixel camera was pretty decent, though definitely not the best on the market, and the web browser and HSDPA connection were both slower than I'd have liked, which is a shame.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

It's 12 and counting for cameraphones but the real thick of action is at the 8 megapixel notch. There goes the next of them exciting imaging gadgets waiting to be put in play. We've got a bit of catching up with the LG Viewty Smart to do since our first rendezvous. But let's quickly review the basics. Whether you call it an LG Arena with a beefier camera or a Viewty on S-Class, we guess we're happy either way. Oh, you can also call it Viewty2, while we go on and check if it's 2 good 2 miss.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

It seems the 8-megapixel LG Viewty Smart GC900 will become the manufacturer´s top camera phone for 2009 (unless they roll out 12-megapixel device). The phone utilizes LG´s S-CLASS 3D interface and promises smashing snapshot quality to make you forget about your digital camera (quite unlikely)…
