NOKIA N85 Pro Reviews

gadgetreview‘s review Edit

Overall, I’m very impressed with the Nokia N85. I’ll be honest, it’s been many years since I’ve really used one but now I understand why they’re the number one handset maker in the world. The build of the N85 is very solid. At times the buttons on the phone proved a bit cumbersome and for anyone coming from a Blackberry or iPhone, or any handset with a touchscreen and full QWERTY keypad will find adjusting to the new layout challenging. The payoff of course is in the optics, small footprint. solid build and opulent like hora the handset gives off.

If we were weighing up between the N96 and N85 then we'd probably opt for this handset, which has a better build quality and is that little bit smaller for the pocket and hand.

The N85 is a very likeable, feature-packed handset. It may not break the N-series mould, but it provides most of the N96’s gadgetry ground in a smaller - if still not tiny - package. Its performance is right on the money too, and you certainly get plenty for your cash. If you’re looking for a high-quality multi-tasking mobile, the N85 is a smart choice.

ubergizmo‘s review Edit

What endears me to the N85 is its ease-of-use and the introduction of USB modem tethering that doubles up as a charging session as well - nifty if you're looking to work in areas with 3G but have no Wi-Fi. This is one well balanced handset from Nokia that seem to bunch in everything that is good from various N Series devices into a single device. For those who are shopping for a new handset and are partial to Nokia, the N85 would be a good place to start if you're one who wants a device which makes great phone calls and is reliable enough to keep you connected at all times no matter where you are.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Nokia N85 is an extremely powerful, feature-packed device with a head-spinning degree of versatility, offering almost all the working functionality of the N96 but in a slimmer package. An impressive addition to the Nseries roster.

The N85 is an excellent multimedia, mobile Internet, and GPS device, but it’s a bit lacking as a phone.

Softpedia‘s review Edit

Nokia N85 seems to be a good choice for slider fans, especially as it includes so many features at a decent price. While the offer on the market is quite rich, N85 will probably go unnoticed, as it doesn't have such an astonishing design. I would recommend the N85 as one of the best value for money options for a high-end device, in case you're not getting the new touchscreen smartphones from Nokia.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

N85 is the latest Nseries signing and a bulletproof spec sheet sets it right in the thick of all-in-one action. Full-house connectivity and multimedia prowess topped with a massive OLED screen to die for, Nokia N85 gives the lineup a great edge and comes out as the definitive brand-loyal upgrade. No, it will never rule the Nseries but sure has what it takes to make them tick. With the echo of the not so glorious N96 entry still lingering, we are about to see what Nokia N85 can do for the Nseries morale.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Nokia N85 is the first phone of Nokia’s N-series which is equipped with an OLED display. That technology doesn’t consume that much energy, doesn’t fade away in direct sunlight and offers a brighter picture. It’s hard to figure out whose successor is the N85 by just looking at the company’s product line. It is supposed to be a lighter version of N96, which at the same time offers a better display and a battery with a longer life. We can define it as an updated version of the N95 with similar characteristics...

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Nokia N85 may not offer as much memory as the N95 or N96, but it offers just as many features and a sleeker design, making it a better value in our book.
