RIM BlackBerry Curve 8900 Pro Reviews

reghardware‘s review Edit

The 8900 looks good and does everything you'd want a BlackBerry to do. The only question is, do you want HSDPA and 3G? If you don't - and with the 8900's Wi-Fi, you might well not - this Bold Junior is rather cheaper than the RIM flagship, and comes with the added benefit of a better camera.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

What you don’t get on the BlackBerry Curve 8900 are 3G connectivity or a screenful of apps that you don’t really need – any extras you decide you need will soon be available from the Storefront. The result is a solid, smart but unflashy smartphone that offers all the business connectivity you need and keeps the multimedia features a click away rather than having them constantly on show.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The new BlackBerry Curve 8900 juices up the already-excellent Curve form factor with a sharper screen, faster processor, and better camera, letting it jump through new multimedia hoops while still helping you get your work done. If you need to stay connected, this Curve is the simplest and most stylish way to do it on T-Mobile.

MobileCrunch‘s review Edit

Overall, the 8900 is a fine BlackBerry and probably the best phone available for T-Mobile. If you’re looking to upgrade, or switch to T-Mobile, then I insist you pick up the 8900. It’s a superb upgrade from the 8320 and everything but 3G is present.

BlackBerry's hard-won victory in the email wars is still in evidence with the Curve 8900 and this is clearly a communication tool first and foremost.

For owners of the current series of the Blackberry Curve, the Blackberry Curve 8900 is worth the upgrade. The new Blackberry look is nicely integrated in the design and only minor design changes have been made such as the ability to remove the memory card with more ease.

Even though it doesn’t support 3G data, the latest Curve’s fast processor, sleek design, and Wi-Fi capability make it one of the best smart phones around.

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is the most pocketable Curve to date and the nice thing about that is it doesn’t skimp on features. Quite the contrary, in fact this BlackBerry Curve has a ton of connection features: WiFi, Stereo Bluetooth, and even the ability to take calls over a WiFi connection to help extend your coverage. If that’s not enough, it has a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash and auto focus and a display that is downright gorgeous.

The BlackBerry Curve 8900 is a thin and light smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard and support for T-Mobile's Wi-Fi VoIP service. It takes many of the best features of existing BlackBerrys and rolls them together in a nice package.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

BlackBerry Curve 8900 is less controversial than the TouchBerry Storm. It comes to update the Curve line and it does its job quite well. We guess only the missing 3G won't let us call the 8900 Curve the perfect upgrade. Anyway, on home Blackberry turf the Curve 8900 certainly holds a high position.

The Curve 8900 is a worthy successor to the previous models in RIM's Curve range. This is because the company has managed to retain the DNA that made those devices so popular while also adding some neat extras into the mix such as the classier looks, faster processor and sharper screen. Sure, the lack of 3G is a disappointment, but whereas it would be a deal breaker on a lesser handset, on the 8900 it's simply a bit of a distraction.

Research In Motion gave its popular, but aging, Curve 8300 series of smartphones the Bold treatment, resulting in the new BlackBerry Curve 8900. The 8900 features a ton of upgrades and is every bit as great as the original.

Softpedia‘s review Edit

Well, I haven't been impressed by the smartphone, as it looks just like another Blackberry device. If you're not used with the "pie" form of the Blackberries, you might find it interesting in terms of design. Anyway, Curve 8900 is just a cheaper version of Bold, but that doesn't mean that it is lower in performance. I found the device good enough, built with an attractive look that will surely appeal to RIM's fans. The medium ranges of features included are well balanced and work flawlessly, offering users solid stability on the go.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

The Curve 8300 series has been an immensely successful line for RIM, helping push the manufacturer out of the board room and into the family room. There have been attempts at consumer friendly devices since, such as the Pearl and Storm, but nothing has quite hit the sweet spot like the Curve. So, how do you create a follow up to arguably the best device you’ve ever put out? Make ...
