The Fujifilm X-E2S is an engaging camera for those with some photographic experience, or for newcomers looking for a camera to grow into. The build quality, controls and handling are all excellent, the trademark Fujifilm JPEG output remains a staff favorite and the lens ecosystem offers a wide selection of quality lenses. The video specification, autofocus system and some aspects of operational speed are starting to show their age, but overall, the X-E2S has a lot to offer at its price point.

The X-E2s delivers high image quality and a very good user experience, along with an updated and slightly refreshed design. With built-in Wi-Fi and a number of creative effects, including in-camera raw processing, the camera gives a good all-round solution, particularly with the built-in, high-resolution electronic viewfinder (EVF). If you have the budget to invest in Fujifilm's range of high-quality lenses, then the X-E2s would make a good choice, particularly if you want direct access to manual controls.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

While it doesn't offer some of the features of its competitors, the X-E2S is well designed and a pleasure to use. It's also sensibly priced and produces high quality images.
