PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm X70 is a solid pocket-friendly compact camera with an SLR-sized image sensor and a tilting touch-screen display.

DP Review‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm X70 is definitely one of the simplest 28mm-equivalent APS-C compact cameras on the market. It is well optimized for sharing and shooting, but falls a bit below the incredibly high Raw image quality bar set by the Ricoh GR. Even so, it presents a good value for those who want APS-C quality without investing in a set of lenses.

ephotozine‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm X70 is an ultra-stylish compact camera with a larger APS-C CMOS sensor, and a compact 28mm equivalent f/2.8 lens, which means it gives DSLR image quality, with good noise performance in low light. It also has direct access to shutter and aperture controls making it feel like a traditional camera, such as the Olympus Trip 35, although the X70 is actually noticeably smaller. The nearest current competitor is the Ricoh GR II, however this doesn't offer the same metal feel and build, lacking the direct shutter and aperture dials. The Fujifilm X70 may seem expensive compared to a mirrorless camera or a Digital SLR, however, the Fujifilm X70 is a fun snappy camera that is enjoyable to use, and the compact size makes it easy to take with you anywhere you go without worrying about carrying a camera bag with you. Focus is generally very quick, although there will be those that wished it had a "Snap" focus mode for the more spontaneous moment. The tilting screen is great, and particularly useful if you don't go for the optional optical viewfinder. The touch-screen is also a welcome addition, making it easy and quick to change the focus position, although we would like to have seen more options, such as the Q menu, being controlled by the touch-screen. Whilst there are a few small niggles, particularly for those with large hands, the X70 is an extremely desirable camera that not only delivers excellent image quality, it also looks good and is fun to use at the same time.

Cnet‘s review Edit

It's not for everyone. But if you're a manual-control freak who views the world at a wide angle and won't miss a viewfinder, the Fujifilm X70 is a great camera.
