Acer H6510BD Pro Reviews

projectorreviews‘s review Edit

The Acer H6510BD is really a set it up and use it projector. Sure you can make it permanent or stuff it in a closet when not using it. You can use it in different rooms, or do the occasional outdoor evening. Want a fun projector, one of the least expensive 1080p projectors on the market, that has a good looking picture, and has the power to tackle almost any half way suitable room? Here's a good low cost choice. The lack of user savable settings is a negative for any who want to tweak their projector, but this projector will serve the typical, less critical consumer pretty well. But on the brighter side, this Acer has 3D, not uncommon, but unlike many other low cost competitors, the Acer's 3D supports all the major formats, including Blu-ray 3D which is pretty The price of the Acer H6510 BD is one of the highlights. I see most of the Acer's competition at $100 to $200 more.

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

The Acer H6510BD is an inexpensive Full HD DLP projector. The picture quality is convincing with good source material like Blu-Rays; you can see fine details and the color accuracy is good. Due to the missing lens shift and a minimal blur an ideal installation is very important. The raised fan speed with the inverted presentation and the heat haze in cooler areas also have to be considered. The system noise itself is audible and could be annoying for movie enthusiasts. The compact dimensions and the low weight predestine the projector for a mobile office operation. Overall the Acer H6510BD left a good impression and can really convince considering its low street price of 750 Euros.

For those who don't see or don't mind rainbow artifacts, the Acer H6510BD Projector is a potential bargain, with 1080p resolution and full 3D support.

A flexible and bright projector with a high-quality 2D mode, but 3D lets it down slightly

ProjectorCentral‘s review Edit

The Acer H6510BD may be the most affordable full 3D projector available today. At $799, it delivers an attractive image that's great for high-definition films and video in either a darkened theater or a living room. While the W1070 has advantages over the H6510BD in several important areas, it also costs about 20% more than the H6510BD. Neither projector comes with 3D glasses, but both use inexpensive DLP Link eyewear rather than a proprietary solution. These days, especially when working with entry-level projectors, that $200 gap can be important to some people. As always, it is up to the user to determine whether the additional image quality is worth the extra money.
