Olympus Stylus XZ-10 Pro Reviews

Steve's Digicams‘s review Edit

The Stylus XZ-10 sports Olympus's top features and hardware, giving the user higher image quality and performance than ever before. Built to perform better than most compact digicams, Olympus succeeded in producing a compact digital camera with very high image quality.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Slender and stylish, the XZ-10 leaves a good first impression - but the trim design not only cuts the fat compared to the top-spec XZ-2, it also pulls back on some of the more advanced features more commonly associated with an advanced compact. There's no lens-based image stabilisation, a standard 1/2.3-inch sensor size, so-so battery life and no hotshoe expansion for a viewfinder are some to mention. But perhaps that's being unfair: the XZ-10 isn't trying to replace the XZ-2 or competitors such as the Panasonic Lumix LX7. Instead it's a (sort of) new concept that delivers in terms of size, build, and other advanced areas such as raw file capture and a built-in neutral density (ND) filter to make best use of that bright lens.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

Expert review of the Olympus XZ-10 camera with sample photos, test shots, videos and more... So despite a few reservations about the image quality in low or high contrast light, the Olympus XZ-10 is a competitive addition to the ever-growing numbers of "premium" compact cameras aimed at the more discerning photographer. You could certainly do a lot worse than carry an Olympus XZ-10 in your pocket...

ephotozine‘s review Edit

The Olympus XZ-10 is a slighter cheaper version of the XZ-2, but offers slightly more optical zoom. It is a smaller and lighter camera, but this does mean you sacrifice the tilting screen. The XZ-10 also lacks other features such as Wi-Fi and GPS which you might expect to find on the latest serious compact cameras. Put this aside, you'll still find an ample set of features, including 5 fps continuous shooting, full 1080p HD video recording and a close focusing distance of 1cm. There's also full manual controls and RAW shooting. The XZ-10 is very reasonably priced, it is one of the lowest priced serious compact cameras around. It produces decent images and is therefore easy for us to highly recommend.
