ozone Xenon Pro Reviews

techPowerUp!‘s review Edit

The Ozone Xenon mouse possibly features the best sensor on the market, and it would have been a thoroughly exciting mouse if the rest of the mouse was as good as the sensor. The omission of side buttons on a £24.98/€30/$40 mouse is awkward. I think 99% of today's gamers, even hardcore FPS gamers, want those two thumb-friendly buttons. This mouse is quite the conundrum: it is nicely executed in terms of exterior design, has a great sensor, and above average ergonomics, but misses very basic features. The driver suite looks very beta-ish, and it is, again, missing essential features. Overall, the product seems a bit rushed, which is a shame since it packs a lot of potential with the Avago ADNS-3090 sensor and an excellent shell design. A revision of this mouse with side buttons and a bit more elaborate driver suite would be killer, even for an additional $10. At $40, this mouse costs about as much as the CM Storm Recon in most parts of the world and that makes the Ozone Xenon overpriced for what it gives. There are, of course, bound to be some people looking for a mouse without side buttons and this mouse is great for those people, but it just seems a bit silly to the rest of us.
