ASUS N76VM Pro Reviews

Notebookcheck‘s review Edit

Asus’ N76VM is a very well-designed notebook that does not exhibit any real drawbacks except for the weak touchpad and limited graphics performance on battery. The case’s quality is very good, the design is appealing and the choice of equipment is apt for the target group. The quad-core CPU that easily copes with many applications with support from Nvidia’s graphics excels among the core components. The gaming power is enough for the tested tracks in medium and high settings, and it is therefore just right for most casual gamers. The exceptionally large 2 terabyte mass memory is almost the limit of what is possible in notebooks. However, it is also the weakest link of the otherwise strong chain of performance at the same time. The actually existing potential to a very quiet notebook during little load is not accomplished due to the two fairly loud hard disks. Nevertheless, the fan is never disturbing or obtrusive even during full load. The sporadically loud DVD drive that audibly comes to the fore during movie rendering is sooner annoying here. The multimedia notebook does not exhibit any weakness in terms of key interfaces for this device category. Screen and sound system ensure a great picture as well as a first-rate sound and thus belong to the best that you can currently find in notebooks.
