LG Optimus L3 Pro Reviews

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

When you consider your options, there's just no reason to buy the LG L3. It is outperformed and outclassed by other budget phones. Unless you are a massive fan of its form factor, it's unlikely to be an attractive option for you. If this were a £50 handset, then we could get on board. Indeed, we'd probably score it twice as highly. Usually, cost isn't a huge issue for us, but when there's such stiff competition in this part of the market, it's hard not to look at other phones, and think of them as a far better deal. So, while there's nothing earth-shatteringly dreadful about the LG, the screen and camera mean it's less attractive than other budget handsets. Go get a Vivacity, G300 or San Francisco II instead.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The LG L3 is cheap but doesn't really tick any other boxes. It has old software and an abysmal set of hardware with the all-important screen the worst of the lot. It's only saving grace is the good battery life but we recommend saving a few more pennies and going for the HTC One V or opting for the even cheaper Huawei Ascend G 300.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Although it is hard to overlook the loveable price tag, there are handsets out there will sub £100 stickers attached that overshadow the L3. A stubby, plastic device that is certainly not a grower, the Android 2.3 device is to be quickly overshadowed by a number of rivals with its lack of future proofing to see it become a distant memory in a few short months. That is unless to plump for the device and find yourself stuck with it for the next 18 months

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

All in all, there's no doubt that the LG Optimus L3 is one perfectly usable handset, with no serious issues to cause problems with its operation. We do like the fact that it looks better than your average low-end affair, and it actually outperforms it due to its smooth UI and ability to play 3D games and Flash content in the browser. Unfortunately, the low-quality, low-resolution screen ruins the whole experience. We would have been okay with all the compromises LG has made, but we aren't, and the reason for this is the pricing of the Optimus L3. Right now, it costs just a bit less than majorly-superior phones like the Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V and Xperia ray, and this makes the option of buying an L3 one big NO-NO for us. We really can't see the reason why you should invest in it, when you can get something a lot better for just a bit more cash. If you don't have enough money right now, it'd be better to wait for a little while, save some more, and get something way better.
