ZOTAC ZBOX ID80 Plus Pro Reviews

computershopper‘s review Edit

The Zotac Zbox ID80 Plus proves that good things can come in small packages. For about $325, you get a compact and quiet HTPC that dishes out great HD video playback. The bundled Media Center remote and VESA mount make it easy to set the system up as an HTPC attached to your living-room TV. That is, of course, after you first scramble to find an optical drive, keyboard, and mouse, and install the OS from scratch. If you need to purchase all of these items, you can easily spend another $200 or more. That's why the Zbox ID80 Plus will appeal primarily to the DIY crowd, who are likely to already have the needed peripherals lying around and have the inclination to install their own OS, instead of having the system just work right out of the box.

HotHardware‘s review Edit

As it stands, the ZBOX ID80 Plus is a respectable HTPC that's capable of streaming content from the Web and has ample storage space for your own collection of music and movies. We also like that it looks snazzy and has a compact footprint that can sit horizontally or vertically, or sit hidden behind an LCD display. It's not a great option if you intend to venture beyond the realm of streaming video, but as a basic HTPC, it's worth a look.
