Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7 Pro Reviews

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

Panasonic are a very successful company in the digital compact market and if you were to buy this camera, you wouldn't be displeased. We just think it could be better. The lens suffers from chroma, noise comes in too early and the high speed fps is over too quick to do anything worthwhile with. Other than that the pictures look nice. But if you're looking for a snazzy little number with a decent zoom, notable third party lens make, FullHD with stereo sound and 3D capability then take a look at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7 is great little pocket camera. Even at its original price of $180 it was a good deal, but now that it can be found for less than $150, it's a steal. That's mostly because of its fast shooting performance and its small size and long lens. Its battery life could be better and it has some limitations when it comes to photo quality, but if most of your photos are ending up online and you don't need to make prints larger than the occasional 8x10, it's a solid choice for the money.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

A slim camera with an impressive 10x zoom lens, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7 still struggles with image sharpness and detail at higher ISO settings.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Lumix DMC-SZ7 is a small camera, but it has a big lens that makes it a versatile camera. Its picture quality is good, its ease of use is high and it's a great little compact camera to carry with you in your pocket for all sorts of events, and even on a daily basis.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The SZ7 delivers on its "stylish zoom" promise - it looks decent, takes good pictures for the most part and the sizeable 10x optical zoom is a credit to have in such a small body size. However the poor LCD viewing angle and limited battery life are issues that can’t be ignored. If you’re in the market for a point-and-shoot compact camera then there are plenty of highs to be had here. The SZ7 is an attractive and easy to use compact.

Although the feature set does help as much as hinder the performance of the SZ7, the end result is decent enough to use it as a holiday compact.

ephotozine‘s review Edit

The Panasonic Lumix SZ-7 has a decent amount of zoom packed into a compact body, making it an ideal camera for taking on your holidays as it is very easy to carry around. The zoom can be extended using intelligent zoom and the camera takes a decent picture, shoots up to ISO 3200 at full resolution and records full 1080p HD videos. When using the continuous shooting modes you are limited to the number of consecutive shots you can take, so you need to be spot on with your timing when capturing a fast moving subject. Other than that, the camera has some decent features which make it a worth while consideration if you are in the market for a compact camera with a decent zoom range.

Incredibly slim for a 10x zoom camera, and image quality and performance are up to scratch. Only the screen's poor viewing angles keep the SZ7 from an award
