FujiFilm FinePix XP150 Pro Reviews

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Overall, the Fujifilm FinePix XP150 is a nice looking camera that's a easy to use and meets the tough demands placed upon it. However, where the XP150 stumbles is in the results. Although we've enjoyed using the XP150 and it has given us some nice shots, there are too many foibles along the way and too many shots that could or should be better. It's worth considering that this model is available for around £180, which considering it includes the GPS, makes it more affordable than some similarly-specced rivals. If you're accident prone or want a camera to take those action shots in the water or on the pistes, then the XP150 makes owning one much more affordable. If image quality is more important, if this is going to be your everyday camera, then it might be worth weighing up rival models before parting with your cash.

Digital Trends‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm XP 150 makes an affordable tough cam for places you wouldn’t venture with a more fragile cam, but doesn’t perform well enough to replace a general point-and-shoot camera. Nothing in particular stands out enough to rave about, and all its major discrepancies can be justified by something it does right. For instance, color tone is poor… but it does a pretty good job with action shots. For what it lacks in image quality the XP 150 gets many of the smaller details right: An easy menu system, decent to good underwater performance, and a GPS feature that works. But if you’re looking for anything more, then you will want to look elsewhere, and spend more. The low price on the Fujifilm XP 150 is makes it worth a second look despite its compromises. Tough cams are novelty, niche products, and for most consumers they aren’t going to fill your every camera need. If that’s the case, then shelling out more than $300 might not make sense, and the Fujifilm XP 150 might be the most practical option.

ephotozine‘s review Edit

If we were to base the review of the XP150 on image quality alone it wouldn't score particularly well. Detail in images isn't great even at the lowest of ISO settings, but if you aren't going to be using the images for large prints but for sharing on the web, this won't be of much concern, particularly as colour reproduction is good enough. Where the XP150 does excel is with its range of features and handling. There is full 1080p HD video recording, GPS, impressive panoramas and the battery life is very good.
