Toshiba REGZA 55WL863B Pro Reviews

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

While there's a nagging sense that Toshiba could perhaps have used its CEVO Engine processing a bit more overtly in the 55WL863, it's still the case that the system has helped Toshiba deliver a really good TV that deserves a place at the top table of TV quality this year. The set's multimedia support is good, and its 2D pictures are sharp, colourful, bright and natural for the most part. What's more, 3D pictures are in some ways the best we've seen, with just the existence of crosstalk noise letting them down.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

Toshiba’s bid to add a high-end, enthusiast-friendly TV to its 2011 range has proved a mostly thundering success. The 55WL863 really is a superb TV, delivering some of the best picture quality yet seen from any LCD TV, as well as a good feature count. There are even moments where the 55WL863’s 3D performance breaks new quality ground.

AVForums‘s review Edit

We think with it’s contrast rich and natural looking images the WL863 does enough to gain a coveted AVForums Recommendation. There are some shortcomings, particularly with the side by side 3D and the under-saturation of red, but we believe the former could be addressed by firmware and the latter to be not noticeable to the majority of users. When you look at what else is out there - at this price and with this feature set and performance – you’d be silly not to put the Toshiba WL863 on your go-see list.
