The Samsung Galaxy W has surfaced and looks to be heading to T-Mobile as the Exhibit II 4G. The handset was first revealed back in August, when Samsung unveiled its new naming scheme for its smartphone product lines. The “S” series, as in the Galaxy S, represented its flagship line followed by R, W, M, and Y series in descending order, which marks the Samsung Galaxy W, or Exhibit II 4G, to be a mid-range device.
The Exhibit II 4G, whose name was revealed today by TmoNews, has also been codenamed Ancora in some markets and is expected to feature a 3.7-inch WVGA screen, a 1.4GHz single-core processor, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. Those are pretty d...

Samsung Galaxy W visits FCC with AT&T bands
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungAT&TGALAXY W
The Samsung Galaxy W has just stopped by the FCC packing bands that are compatible with the AT&T network that suggests it could possibly arrive in the states sometime in the near future.
The Samsung Galaxy W has all of the makings of a mid-range smartphone when you consider the competition. It is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread device that packs a 3.7-inch display. Under the hood of the Galaxy W is a single-core 1.4GHz processor. That speed doesn’t shout mid-range but in a world ruled by other Android-powered handsets that are powered by dual-core processors it gets that title by default. The Galaxy W also has 512MB of RAM.

White Samsung Galaxy W caught in the wild
Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungGALAXY W
Of all the new Android phones Samsung has recently announced, it seems the Galaxy W will be their biggest seller, with Three UK already adding it to its “Coming Soon” pages. Specs wise, it sits somewhere between the original Galaxy S and Galaxy S II, though boasting a smaller 3.7-inch screen. In that sense, I guess the W is made for people who think phones with 4-inch and bigger displays are too bulky to carry around. I can understand the argument, though I don’t agree with it completely.
Anyway, the news is that in addition to the “default” black version, Sammy’s “W”onder phone will also be available in white, or at least the image above suggests so. I like white phones and can see the Kor...

Like UnlikeFiled in: Cell PhonesSamsungGALAXY W
Samsung-thusiasts in the UK will be happy to know that the brand spanking new Galaxy W is coming to the British Three network in September. Just yesterday, we caught a glimpse of this beaut running Gingerbread with a 3.7-inch WVGA touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera, 4GB of internal memory, a 1.4GHz processor and HDSPA connectivity. Those on Three can also expect the new line of BlackBerrys -- the Curve 9360, the Torch 9810 and the Bold 9900 -- soon, as well as the white Samsung Galaxy S II and the Sony Ericsson Xperia ray sometime in September. We hope to get some hands-on time with the W at IFA in Berlin next week -- roadtrip anyone?
