Logitech Illuminated Keyboard

Ownership period: less than 1 year.
Besides a mouse, the keyboard is probably the most oft used peripheral on a computer. Yet, the importance of a good quality keyboard is often overlooked; with most users continuing to use the OEM keyboard that came with their systems, replacing them with the same generic quality keyboard when the old one quits.

Retailing for approx $80, the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard lacks the custom programmable features of the G11/G15 line of gaming keyboards, but retains their fully backlit keys. This backlighting makes typing in the dark much easier for those who are more "hunt and peck" rather than "touch" and can be dimmed to three levels (in addition to "off"). Key strokes are fairly good, comparable to a laptop keyboard and respond with good rebound.

In addition to the standard keys, the keyboard also has onboard volume adjustment and muting capability.

Slim and asthetically pleasing, the Illuminated Keyboard does its job very well; but the price may make one consider going to a G11/G15 for a few bucks more if you're a PC gamer.
