The Officejet Pro 8500A Plus is a feature-packed and capable printer. There are cheaper options, but if ePrint sounds attractive and you're prepared to spend a little more, this model won't let you down.

HP has managed to deliver an inkjet printer that makes a perfectly decent office MFD, however the Pro 8500A has its quirks. The list of features covers all the options and the running costs are pleasingly low. Having said that the speed isn't all that great, print quality could be better and the price is a touch high.

This is a fine, robust inkjet all-in-one, well up to general use in a small office. The touch panel works well and is much easier to use than equivalent physical keys. Possibly more of a gimmick is the ePrint facility, though some ‘must-have’ use may suddenly spring up for this feature, making us look suitably eggy-faced.
