KODAK EASYSHARE Z950 Pro Reviews

DigitalCameraReview‘s review Edit

Overall, I was pleased with the Kodak EasyShare Z950. It has many automatic features that make it easy for beginners along with manual exposure controls for more ambitious users. Its ergonomics are very good, with a couple of minor exceptions. While it's not the fastest camera on the block in starting up and shutting down, it is relatively quick in performing other functions.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Kodak EasyShare Z950 offers great value for money. It enjoys rock-solid build in pocket-sized dimensions, and there are more manual features than usual at this price. It's easy to use, with a broader-than-average zoom range. That said, performance in low light can’t match the best cameras in this category, the Kodak EasyShare Z950 is slow to operate, and we found the option-select joystick somewhat fiddly.

Don’t buy this camera if you are the impatient type. While it takes very good pictures, you will often wind up waiting for the camera. So it is not suitable for action shots and the video is lacking. But if you want a camera that will give you great pictures with little effort, this may be the one for you.

The Kodak proved the most surprising. Given the build quality, the massive leap in design of the cameras from exterior prettiness to the user interface, features and good performance, I'm inclined towards the Kodak Easyshare Z950.

As long as you're a patient snapshooter, the Kodak EasyShare Z950 is a respectable compact megazoom camera.

The Z950 could have been a really good camera. It has decent build quality, looks good and handles well, with accessible controls. It has optional manual exposure features that others in its class lack, and the HD video with optical zoom is a nice extra. It's a real shame that it's let down so badly by extremely slow performance.

Steve's Digicams‘s review Edit

Kodak's EasyShare Z950 is an incredibly versatile and easy-to-use digicam. With its 12-Megapixel imaging sensor, 10x optical zoom lens with OIS, auto scene recognition and 720 HD video recording, you'll be hard pressed to find a camera with more high-end features in this price range.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

The Kodak EasyShare Z950 is that rarest of beasts, a beginner friendly digital camera with a budget price that nevertheless provides a fair amount of room to grow courtesy of a regular complement of manual controls and tweak-able settings. Given that, we can almost excuse the fact that it's image quality is variable on occasion – although better than expected results are achievable with ideal conditions at your disposal.
