Pantech Laser Pro Reviews

phonedog‘s review Edit

The Pantech Laser is simply the best messaging phone on AT&T and probably the best messaging phone from the four major U.S. carriers. It's not perfect, but I felt that the pros definitely outweighed the cons. It is available now from AT&T for $99.99 with a new two-year contract and after rebates.

Phone Scoop‘s review Edit

What is the Laser good for? Well, it's a heck of a good text messaging phone, and since it is a QMD, I suppose AT&T and Pantech can say, "Mission Accomplished!" Would I recommend it? If texting is all you really want to do, then sure. If you're looking for anything more, then you'll need to see elsewhere.

Macworld‘s review Edit

The Pantech Laser ($100 with a two-year contract from AT&T; price as of November 28, 2010) is a slim yet sturdy feature phone equipped with a beautiful AMOLED display and a full QWERTY keyboard. Unfortunately, the Laser's overall performance is hurt by an unresponsive and poorly implemented touchscreen.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Laser is Pantech's most intriguing feature phone yet, but AT&T's skewed data plan economics will usually make a true smartphone a better buy.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Pantech Laser's generous features and stylish good looks makes it one of the better messaging phones in AT&T's lineup.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Yes, the Pantech Laser is undoubtedly at the upper end of the feature phone spectrum on AT&T's lineup. But when you factor in all of the goodies it's packing beneath its shell, you'll easily figure out that it soars above other similar handsets like the Samsung Impression and LG Vu Plus. At $99.99 on-contract, it's also one of the most expensive Pantech non-smartphone handsets we've seen to date, but it's accompanied with a level of intrigue thanks to its commanding figure of being the thinnest handset on the market to sport a landscape keyboard. Although it might not prove itself in all categories, it nonetheless manages to transcend in being a messaging phone – plus it makes you look good while doing it.
