SHARP AQUOS LC-60LE925UN Pro Reviews

www.whathifi.com‘s review Edit

There’s a whole lot of 3D TV here for the money and we’re impressed by the performance on offer. You can get better for the money, but not if you want it this big.

Digital Trends‘s review Edit

We’ve seen the Sharp Quattron LC-60LE925UN for around $3,500 at legit dealers-and the price is falling fast. Basically you’re looking at a price premium for this HDTV. With that on the table, we suggest you wait for the price to come down and the amount of 3D content to go up. 3D at home certainly doesn’t match the hype-nothing could–but it’s good nonetheless. And 2D high-def material-which you’ll watch most of the time-is top notch.

We’re finding it increasingly hard to give any 3D TV that clearly suffers with crosstalk a 9 or 10 overall score, and that unfortunately has to remain the case with the 60LE925E. Especially given that the TV also struggles rather with standard definition 2D pictures. That said, for the most part we were very impressed by the 60LE925E. The benefits to colours of its Quattron technology are even more apparent than they were on the original LE821 Quattron model, and make a difference to 3D as well as 2D material. The set’s use of edge LED backlighting is also exemplary for such a large screen, especially in terms of backlight consistency, and its 3D images are among the brightest, most vibrant and sharpest around.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The 60LE925E's colour tones, brightness and general dynamism are frequently breathtaking and there are times when its 3D images are quite simply the best we've seen, combining a sense of depth and detail with brightness and accurate colours to a degree not seen before. It definitely needs to be fed as consistent a 3D and HD diet as possible, though, due to its shortcomings with standard-def broadcasts. And while crosstalk might not crop up as regularly as with some other 3D TVs, it's mightily distracting when it does.
