FujiFilm FinePix Z800EXR Pro Reviews

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm Finepix Z800 EXR was announced back in July last year, and is loaded with several impressive features more commonly found on higher end compacts. Within the crowded compact market (especially at the Z800's price point) the touch-screen, the EXR sensor and 5x optical zoom found on board a stylish body, means the Z800 certainly has lots of plus points.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

If you're looking for a sub-£200 touchscreen camera for casual snapshots, you really can't go wrong with the Fujifilm FinePix Z800EXR. Its incredibly fast autofocus and myriad playback options, coupled with its very intuitive and easy-to-use touchscreen make it a near-perfect choice as a touchscreen camera for tight budgets. While it's not as sexy as the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9, it's way more affordable, and it's definitely worth the price.

ITreviews‘s review Edit

Although at first glance some of the features of the Fujifilm FinePix Z800EXR can seem a bit gimmicky, they're aimed at the tasks many families want from a camera, and in making it easier to capture the shots that will mean a lot. The touch screen is easy to use and on-screen buttons are just as convenient as gestures.

ephotozine‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm Finepix Z800EXR is definitely a pleasure to use due to the fast operation speed and the ease of use of the user interface – this was by far the biggest strength. It fits in just about any pocket with ease, looks the business and has a smart phone like interface to wow your friends with when playing back the photos. Also, for the casual user who would typically purchase this, the image quality is more than adequate in many situations.

DigitalCameraReview‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm Z800EXR is an excellent camera in many respects. It has a very attractive appearance, it contains some interesting features including a fine touch-screen LCD, it is a very quick performer and its lens produces relatively little distortion. I was a bit disappointed by its image quality, especially its tendency towards overexposure, although this is a problem with most small cameras.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

There's not a lot that's truly bad about the Fujifilm FinePix Z800EXR however, and you could make far worse choices for the same price. While that's hardly a ringing endorsement, as we said at the outset here you are getting rather more than you've paid for, and in today's market that's a rare thing indeed.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Z800EXR comes across as slightly more sophisticated than your regular sub-£200 model then. But at the end of the day it’s still a point and shoot snapper, so image quality isn’t up there on a par with specialist compact models with brighter lenses and bigger sensors, nor for the price would you expect it to be.
