expertreviews‘s review Edit

With a slim design thanks to its LED backlighting, the HL231DPB has decent enough image quality, but its price is a bit too high compared to the competition.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Hanns-G HL231DPB has to be viewed through the context of its price. It certainly doesn’t offer the best experience of the 23in screens in the chart. However, it only costs around £150. Given the modest asking price (the Asus MS236H, for instance, costs £200, and even the excellent LG Flatron W2353V will set you back over £170), we’re pleased with the image quality and performance.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Despite a few minor foibles the HL231 performs admirably for the price, and with a range of effective presets and image modes it’s also capable of handling gaming and video playback with a minimum of fuss. If you’re on a budget and aren’t too fussy about flawless image quality then this stylish, slimline display would be a great choice.
