Microsoft Xbox 360 S Pro Reviews

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

A still-solid gaming and entertainment experience coupled with a revamped eye-catching design, internal 802.11n Wi-Fi, and more storage make this the best Xbox 360 yet.

bit-tech‘s review Edit

The new Xbox 360 doesn’t massively update the platform in any real way, so we can't see why anyone who already owns an Xbox would upgrade. If you’re planning on picking up an Xbox then it’s definitely worth opting for a Slim over a discounted older model, thanks to the WiFi, improved storage and the increased robustness of the cooling design.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The new Xbox 360 has the looks, features and price point to make it an essential purchase. You could, however, opt for a real bargain over the coming weeks, as retailers sell off discontinued Xbox models. These offers will be tempting for those unmoved by integrated Wi-Fi and one fewer plug for Kinect. But I'd personally pay the money and pick up a new one; or at least wait for the cheaper model, due sometime in August at around £130, which is expected to come with a smaller HDD and without Wi-Fi.

Engadget‘s review Edit

The new Xbox 360 is a sleek, stylish contraption, shiny black from head to cords, but it doesn't offer quite enough to make it an obvious upgrade for those who've bought one before.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

New adopters get a great console for a great price at £189.99, and while we wouldn't tell current 360 owners to rush out and upgrade (especially if you've already invested in larger hard drives and wireless peripherals for the old console), it's definitely something to consider when you have few spare notes lying around.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Though the new Xbox 360 certainly addresses most of the concerns we've had with the versions before it, we don't think it warrants a purchase if you already own an Xbox 360 in working order with an HDMI-out port and a hard drive.

CrunchGear‘s review Edit

Regardless, the new Slim is an interesting departure from the old hardware and well worth a look if you’ve fallen out of the Xbox crowd due to a bricked console. It’s a sturdy and handsome upgrade to a workhorse console and, at $299 it isn’t too dear to consider in the upgrade path.

A new sleek, smaller, quieter design with built in wifi give the Xbox 360 a much needed overhaul.
