Dell 17 Review

Ownership period: less than 1 year.
The Dell 17 is a solid laptop as long as Windows 7 is installed. Some of the preinstalled software had difficulties cooperating with Vista but once I upgraded to 7 most of those problems disappeared.

The 17 comes pre-installed with the Dell dock which is remnant of the Mac Dock and which I actually use regularly. My Desktop is clean and everything I need to access is on that dock.

My Power supply lasts for about 2.5 Hours before needing another charge and the dedicated media buttons are nice for when I'm listening to myy music.

There are 2 USB Ports, an SD/MMC Memory card reader and HDMI and Firewire ports. Not to mention 2 headphone jacks.
