Ownership period: less than 3 months.

I bought this laptop for Business, which include email, document editing, and software development tools.

The relatively strong CPU (i5-430M) and fast memory (DDR3) allow me to run server applications, virtual machines, and other demanding applications smoothly.
Probably the best laptop I used to date (previously, thinkpads).
This laptop comes with a 12 cell battery. The battery is heavy and bulky, but now I don't have to carry a power adapter around - I can work all day on a single charge!
(You can purchase a 6 cell battery separately, of course.)

Physically, this machine has style. The entire laptop is "2001 monolit" black with precise finish. The keyboard is made of smooth, high quality plastics which feels like a piano keyboard. This is the best keyboard I ever used!

Led indicators are placed next to the keyboard part they represent (numpad, mouse pad, caps locks) - which is a great design!
Volume is controlled by sliding a finger left or right on a luminous volume scale, with a dedicated mute button. Also present is a wireless luminous on/off button. I say button, but it's actually just a lit up icon on the smooth surface, operated by touch. Classy!

The screen cover has a cool print on it with a luminous HP logo.

Get this laptop if you need a laptop that can handle serious work or a development machine.

Don't get it, if you need a small, light notepad to read emails on.
