Looking at the white screen test it’s not as good as other displays, with some yellowing along the top and right side. Its performance on black test is better than the the average screen though, with only a little lightening on the bottom right. What is pleasing for photographers is the 99 per cent sRGB coverage, 76 per cent AdobeRGB and 70 per cent NTSC.

Macworld‘s review Edit Like Unlike

Mac Pro owners who need a precise monitor for design or editing work might want to look elsewhere, but the HZ281 is good value for money if you simply want a nice big screen for your laptop or Mac mini, or for watching video from an iPad.

This is a great looking monitor, that exceeds FULL HD 1080P at 1920x1200 resolution. Its best used when your are sitting in front of it, as opposed to a wide viewing angle. The pros far outweigh the cons as listed. Would I buy this monitor again? Absolutely. If you have been looking for a huge monitor, with a typical usage requirement, and a great price, then this monitor should be at the top of your list.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit Like Unlike

The HDTV-aping 16:9 aspect ratio has nearly assimilated the PC monitor market. But Hanns.G is holding out with this big, 16:10 beast. The consequence is increased vertical resolution, which we reckon suits real-world PC usage well. The HZ281 also delivers image quality well above normal expectations for TN technology.

HANNSG's largest PC monitor in the HZ series is big, bold, glossy and bright and for a reasonable price should provide excellent entertainment value for hardcore gamers and lovers of HD movies.
