Samsung WB2000 Pro Reviews

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Handling is generally good, and we like Samsung's menu system. But we struggled to remember there was a separate 'shutter' for video, plus the shooting mode button is confusing.

Although the Samsung WB2000 is expensive it can certainly deliver the goods, with outstanding image quality and creative versatility, and among of the best high-ISO performance in its class. Build quality is excellent, the AMOLED monitor is superb, autofocus is good in all lighting conditions, and the full HD video with stereo sound is an added bonus.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

The Samsung WB2000 / TL350 is a very well-specified and importantly a very well-realised compact camera that should appeal to still photographers and videographers alike. The ability to take 10 RAW photos in a second and capture full HD video footage using the same pocket-sized camera means that the WB2000 has few real rivals.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Though images aren’t completely perfect straight out of the camera - and so the WB2000 would suit those who do actually want to shoot in RAW and tweak results to the nth degree - perhaps its biggest bugbear is battery life. Or rather lack of it. We managed around 140 shots and a couple of short video bursts before our review sample suddenly gave up the ghost without sufficient power retained to even turn the thing back on.

ephotozine‘s review Edit

In testing the Samsung WB2000 proved itself to be a very capable camera with features that will appeal to advanced photographers and snap shooters alike. The HD and high speed video functions will certainly be enough to tempt many users. The camera does have some weaknesses, such as occasional colour fringing at the wide end of the zoom, pincushion distortion at the telephoto end and weak colour saturation. These are weaknesses I'm sure many could live with as the image quality in most conditions is good, and the noise levels at mid to high ISOs is also very good for a compact.
