FujiFilm FinePix JZ500 Pro Reviews

DigitalCameraReview‘s review Edit

In my opinion, the JZ500 is a bit pricey, but I like it and I had fun shooting with it. We are right in the middle of our spring color season in the Ohio Valley and I shot the SD card equivalent of exposing dozens of rolls of slide film trying to capture that almost riotous explosion of nature's colorful exuberance. Overall, the JZ500 did a good job for me and with the exception of its sudden power crash tendency (when the battery is exhausted) and its irksome play/review button, I have no complaints about the camera.

PhotographyBLOG‘s review Edit

It may not have the most features or best image quality, but the new Fujifilm JZ500 is still a compelling travel-zoom camera, particularly for point-and-shoot beginners.

Macworld‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm FinePix JZ500 ($250) is the most pocketable pocket megazoom in our latest test group, thanks to a curvy one-inch-deep body that's significantly slimmer than any of the other cameras we reviewed. Unfortunately, its performance was also comparatively anemic.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm FinePix JZ500 is an also-ran among the big players in the pocket megazoom class, but it has a bigger, more-powerful sibling. For Fujifilm fans pining for a pocket megazoom, we suggest holding out for the FinePix F80EXR, which boasts the company's higher-end EXR sensor along with a 10X-optical-zoom lens.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

Fujifilm offers a very good value with the compact megazoom FinePix JZ500, though you'll have to be a little forgiving of its photos.

Steve's Digicams‘s review Edit

The Fujifilm JZ500 is a compact super-zoom with some impressive features. However, the indoor shooting performance leaves one wanting more.
