Palm Pre Plus Pro Reviews

Digital Trends‘s review Edit

Palm doesn’t have the answer to every one of our original Palm Pre gripes, but a handful of well-placed upgrades still make the revamp one of our favorite smartphones out there.

The Palm Pre Plus is only an incremental upgrade from the original Pre and as such it inherits most of its good and bad points. It certainly doesn't compete with the top-end smartphones out there. However, at the price O2 is asking it's still a very competitive handset, that's still worth considering.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

AT&T's Palm Pre Plus, like all Palm Pre models, is a good smartphone, but it doesn't outmatch the iPhone.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

The Pre Plus breaks no new ground in smartphones, but Verizon availability and an altogether tightened package keeps it reasonably compelling among the smartphone rank and file.

An improvement over the original, but not in the right areas. Lags behind the best of the smartphone pack

The Pre, and to a greater extent, webOS, was a revolutionary step forward for Palm. Fast forward six months, and the Palm Pre is on the nation's largest wireless carrier with increased storage, a better navigational input option, improved keyboard, Mobile Hotspot feature, and a Touchstone-capable back included. In other words, it's everything that the Palm Pre should have been.

mobiledia‘s review Edit

The Palm Pre Plus has its advantages over the original Pre. The operating system moves more swiftly when multiple applications are in play. The system allows for 3D game play. The application store with Palm has more offerings than it did when the Pre came out, and there's more variety beyond the business-related applications that dominated the Palm store last year.

With expanded memory and new software capabilities, the Pre Plus is definitely an improvement over its predecessor, but it still has some quirks.

Palm’s follow-up to the Pre doubles as a mobile hotspot and is just as easy to use, but it could use a bit more speed...

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

When we fist reviewed Sprint’s Palm Pre last year, we were impressed with its overall design and usability, as it featured Palm’s new webOS interface. Now it is Verizon’s turn with the Palm Pre Plus, where the “Plus” basically means it has twice the internal memory for user storage and 512MB of RAM for better multitasking...

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

When Palm officially unveiled the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus at CES 2010, it wasn't a complete surprise. Rumors of the two Verizon-bound smartphones had been circulating for weeks before the show, but that doesn't mean we weren't interested in checking out the products.
