Downloading and installing Chrome OS
Follow Discussion
Can I install unmodified, original version of the newest Google Chrome OS to any hardware? And if so, where I can download a copy of it? I've got an old notebook I'd like to refresh and use only for the casual web/email stuff.
I don't think there is an official release of the OS, but there are some compiled version of the thing which should give you a basic idea of the operating system.
Where I can find those custom versions?
here is on option :)

I don't think you can download it from somewhere. It's available for developers and designers, as far as I know
Does anyone knows where to look for supported hardware, wireless, graphics etc.?
It is developed from Chromium notebooks so I don`t think there will be a list of supported hardware yet...
Just spotted this http://getchrome.eu/download.php. Bear in mind I haven't tested this, so use at your own risk!
Here are some supported Notebooks I`m guessing that you can take a look at their specifications and judge by that
where is the list?
Just found an interesting article how to install Chrome OS on *some notebooks. Although it seems a bit complicated, I'm sure it is doable. All you need is compatible system (I'd try even on net/notebook not listed there, but that's just me), 4GB USB stick and Linux Live CD/USB if you want dual-boot set-up.
