iPhone killer

Posted by Crossblade on Jan 27, 2010

Hate it or love it, iPhone is one (or the) of the best selling high-end smartphone on the planet. Packed with a fast CPU and the trendy and "open" Android OS, will the Google child Nexus the First be able to be a real rival of the iPhone?

Can't wait for this to get to Verizon.

May get it, if Big Red gets it.

I agree that google should have gone a different route in selling the N1. Maybe when it comes to verizon it will start catching people's eyes. I for one will jump on the N1 bandwagon as soon as it hits VZW.

For those lucky N1 owners receiving the OTA update that includes multitouch, how is that working for you? like or dislike?

I REALLY like the specs on this thing, but I just can't help it, I need a physical keyboard. Unfortunately, it seems most manufacturers are going the way of no keyboard. I'm definitely keeping my eye on that Motoroi though. Even without a keyboard, I'd still jump on that!!!

I WILL get this phone when it comes to Big Red, as long as they allow for a discounted price for contract extensions (new every 2 etc.

I WILL get this phone when it comes to Big Red IF...

1. There is not a better looking/performing Android 1ghz variant available for VZW

2. VZW allows you to use your "upgrade" to receive discounted pricing

3. The world doesn't end

Sorry for the double post...account wasn't verified apparently...:(

The iPhone was a great phone a few years ago, but now it is garbage. The word iPhone killer should be changed to Nexus One killer.

at this point i prefer to read about anything as long as its not the iphone....

yes it sold better than anything else ever fine...one phone will not work for everyone.

obviously... it seems we will finally be getting some competition with the nexus one, htc hd2, and especially exciting is the new morestown chip for intel

I have been curious, for those that own the nexus on t mobile, how is the battery life with the 1ghz processor?
