When Nokia discovered the problem with the LTE feature of Windows Phone 7 they handled the situation pretty well, delivering the fix in less than a week, and also offering buyers who purchased the handset before the 21st April a generous $100 credit towards their mobile phone bill.
In practice this means at least 1-2 months of free service on the carrier, and buyers are now reporting that the credit is being applied to their accounts.
While the bug was of course regrettable, it may very well have been the best PR a few million dollars could buy. »read more
