Nokia's 808 PureView won't come to North America

This doesn't come as a major surprise to us, but Nokia has confirmed that it doesn't plan to bring the 808 PureView to US or any other nearby countries. Buried deep within the device specifications page, there's a note about "global" availabilty — excluding North America. That's just as well, since Nokia stopped selling unlocked devices directly in the US last year, and no US carrier would be wiling to pick up a Symbian phone at this point. That's not even to mention the fact that Nokia confirmed last year that it would not bring any more Symbian phones to the US.
