Following the availability of Nokia's smartphones with NFC capabilities, the Finnish company has extended its Qt SDK for developers to support NFC. Developers can use the new SDK to write apps that take advantage of the NFC features found in Nokia smartphones, as well as test NFC tags in a virtual environment. Nokia utilizes NFC for information sharing as well as quick pairing with wireless accessories, such as external speakers.
