Today, the company announced that this projector is now available in Europe. Vivitek D857WT Projector Released

Vivitek is proud to announce today the release of their latest educational-based projector, the D857WT. This device features 3000 ANSI lumens, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, and WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution. The device is also 3D ready and comes with an HDMI port. Other connections include a DVI, VGA, composite, USB, microphone, and several audio ports. There are also network capabilities as well. Vivitek has included a long lasting lamp that has a 6000 hour lamp life. This helps reduce the cost of ownership and reduces the amount of scheduled maintenance checks. Vivitek did not release a retail price for the D857WT but it is available now with a 5 year warranty.

Vivitek is announcing several new projectors this week at the CEDIA 2011 expo. Among them is the D963 multimedia projector. Not too long ago there were few 3D projectors on the market and those that were on the market didn’t usually offer 1080p resolution. The market is quickly changing though and now there are a bunch of new projectors coming that will do both 1080p resolution and 3D content at a nice price point. One of those projects is the new Vivitek H1086-3D. The projector has a bunch of nice features and can change 2D content into 3D content on the fly.

Vivitek Releases D8300 Projector

This time last year, Vivitek unveiled their D8300 projector, which is one of their biggest large venue projectors. Today, the company has finally released this device to the consumer market. The D8300 can display full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 6500 ANSI lumens, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio. The device has been given a diverse connection panel that includes dual HDMI, a RGB, composite, s-video, component, and a 5BNC. There are also two 12V trigger ports to connect to automated devices. Vivitek did not release a retail price for the D8300 at this time.

Vivitek Teases About New 2D-to-3D Projectors

Vivitek announced today that they will be a new series of DLP projectors. The names of these projectors were not announced at this time, but their main feature will be 2D-to-3D conversion. The devices are capable of connecting directly to DVD and Blu-ray disc players as well as PCs or laptops. The company has also fitted these projectors with a 4000 hour lamp. The company did not announce how many products will be released, but they did say they will be released in Taiwan first and then in select areas of the world afterwards.
