Unfortunately, there’s not all that much to get excited about with the 6700 Slide. It’s a competent, well-built phone, but it’s not exactly a treat for the eyes and its Series 60 operating system really is showing its age. Furthermore, despite recent price cuts it’s still not all that cheap, especially compared to the latest budget touchscreen Android handsets.

There are a few nice features that Nokia 6700 slide has to offer starting with its small price. Other things worth mentioning would be the excellent camera featuring Carl Zeiss lens, outstanding music sound quality, as well as HSDPA 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA 2Mbps technology. The solid metal casing, as well as the included microSD card slot and smart dialing feature are also among the positive things.

The Nokia 6700 slide is a small, easy to pocket handset with good battery life and great design ergonomics. The lack of Wi-Fi will mean it is hamstrung for some, and the small screen means some activities are impractical.

The Nokia 6700 slide is for those users who are considering a smartphone for the first time. If you need a phone that does browsing, email, social networking and media within budget, this might be the thing for you. But if you just can't be bothered and simply want your phone pink, or blue, or lime, the 6700 slide is still at your service.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit Like Unlike

Its appearance is a breath of fresh air in these days of touchscreen slates. Although its relatively simple design, the Nokia 6700 slide manages to stand out from the crowd and take the slider form-factor to new heights. Of course, it's not groundbreaking, but at this point we do not need to hear any more false statements of "shaking the industry" or "setting new standards", we just want to see something different and sweet that is made with quality in mind. The 6700 slide is just that.
