Samsung Galaxy Spica Pro Reviews

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

There's nothing wrong with the Galaxy Portal, but there's also nothing exciting about it. The Portal is tough and perfectly functional. The fact it ships with Android 1.5 and Samsung's poor history in offering updates will put off the geeks, but for the average punter looking for an affordable 'in' into Android, it's ideal.

Register Hardware‘s review Edit

Midrange handset with bog standard Android is competent (just), but hardly distinctive.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

The likes of Nexus One, HTC Desire, Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 and Motorola MILESTONE make up the Android elite, the Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica is priced and spec’d in the middle. It’s a reasonably cheap buy into the Android world, which opens the doors to a well-stocked Android Market and all sorts of cloud-based features (Google’s Near Me Now and the likes come to mind).

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Portal may sport a fast-ish processor and have a low-ish price tag, but it’s let down by Samsung’s decision to use an older version of Android and the lack of multi-touch support. With so many great Android phones now flooding the market, we think the Portal is likely to get swapped by the competition.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

The Galaxy Spica i5700 is Samsung´s second Android-based handset for Europe and the first to feature support for DivX and Xvid video files. The latter is the ace up its sleeve in the fierce battle for domination of the Middle Earth…
