Samsung Vodafone 360 H1 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

Vodafone's new 360 service, which consists of mobile software and a website, aggregates your instant messaging, social networking and email accounts, just like HTC's Sense and Motorola's Motoblur software. Currently it works with only two Vodafone-branded handsets, of which the H1 is one, but the company plans to roll it out to other handsets soon.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

Combining the fun factor and responsive touchscreen of the iPhone and the excellent communication features of the Palm and BlackBerry, the Samsung H1 is a superior phone that's up there with the best of the smartphones.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Vodafone 360 Samsung H1 is a phone that would be OK if released by itself, an it's boosted by the presence of the new interactive service. It's a bold move from Vodafone, releasing this new OS and phone to go with the new 360 service. It's certainly a differentiator from the other networks out there, but if we're honest, we not sure it's going to become integral to people's lives.

Lovely hardware, but the 360 service doesn't work very well and the operating system can't compete with rivals

Cute social network-centric UI, but the H1 on 360 isn't as out-of-the-box-easy as it should be.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Having spent a fair amount of time with handsets offering a wide range of connected services, it's fair to say that the H1 doesn't offer an intuitive offering. It looks on paper as though it is going answer many questions but it doesn't. The operating system is fiddly, it takes you forever to get to what you want to be doing and route always seems to be obscured. There isn't a compelling reason to opt for Vodafone 360 when rivals are so much more accessible and so much better integrated with the online services you want connect them to.

We like the fact that Vodafone is trying to do something different with the H1 and there are elements of the 360 interface that are very appealing. The handset’s hardware is also impressive, especially the bright and crisp OLED screen. However, despite a number of updates from Samsung and Vodafone, the phone’s software is still a tad too flaky for our liking. If the software continues to improve the phone may be worth checking out in the future, but at present this handset just fails to deliver on its not inconsiderable promise.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Designed to work with the Vodafone 360 services, the Samsung H1 is a high-end piece of mobile technology. It packs a large touch-sensitive screen and a brand new LiMo R2 operating system that has a pretty clean and easy to use interface. However, not everything in the Samsung H1 is good to have, so read on to learn about the pros and cons of this smartphone…
