HTC Touch2 Pro Reviews

expertreviews‘s review Edit

Small and light with a good interface and plenty of apps, but the touch control lets it down, and the screen and camera aren't the best here.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The Touch 2 exhibits some serious shortcomings: a poor camera, limited storage capacity, some confusing crossover between TouchFlo and Windows Mobile, and a lack of support for multi-touch zooming, for example. The Touch 2 is probably as small as a phone could be and still aspire to full touch control, and the screen is very responsive to the touch.

SlashGear‘s review Edit

In fact, the Touch2 was a surprisingly pleasing device. While it lacks the high-resolution display of its more expensive siblings, it also packs Windows Mobile 6.5 into a far more pocket-friendly shell, and with no loss of connectivity.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The HTC Touch2 is good, but it's not the ultimate smartphone. The iPhone still wears the crown – the benefits of having an operating system designed from the ground up to be touched are painfully obvious. And Android should remain the operating system of choice for HTC aficionados. But that doesn't stop the Touch2 being a decent handset for a good price.

A well-made and usable Windows smartphone - just don't expect the new Windows Mobile to make a massive difference

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

With the HTC Touch2 you get a compact device that will appeal to those who need to have a Windows Mobile device to support their office activities or business on the move. Whilst you can find this in other devices, there is no doubt that syncing with Windows 7 was an absolute breeze. Document support, Exchange email and PDF readers are all to be found here. The 3.5mm jack and radio will also make it appealing to commuters.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The HTC Touch2 certainly isn't the most inspiring piece of mobile phone hardware but it's compact, light, very fast, and has all the essential features. Likewise, its Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system still trails way behind many alternatives but it's still highly functional and is now just about usable without needing to resort to a stylus. Overall, then, the Touch2 is a good but not great smartphone.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

The new HTC Touch2 is the Windows Mobile 6.5-powered update to the HTC Touch, the first device to feature HTC's much loved TouchFLO user interface. The new Touch2 gets updated hardware and software, and is nice overall.

Softpedia‘s review Edit

I've been pleasantly surprised by the new, mid-budget device in terms of design, but a little bit disappointed about the new version of the operating system. While, visually, there are some changes, I still think that Windows Mobile is far from Android and the iPhone in terms of performance, functionality and look. Still, HTC Touch2 is a good smartphone, but only if it sells for a cheap price, otherwise I think people will look for more advanced solutions and Android is so much better for now.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

The HTC Touch2 is a compact and attractive phone running Windows Mobile 6.5. It is extremely snappy performer, because sports pretty much the same hardware components like the top of the range HTC Touch Diamond2, while its interface is simplified...

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

With the design improvements and enhancements of Windows Mobile 6.5, the HTC Touch2 makes for a nice smartphone for first-time users. Unfortunately, it's not bound for the U.S. and may not be worth its unlocked price.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

Affordable isn't the most common word in the HTC vocabulary but a company whose sole line of business is smartphones is not quite expected to speak the language of the masses. That said, we really need to define affordable first. It's what HTC Touch2 tries hard to be but… let's face it… doesn't get too close to. After all, there's little a PocketPC full of high-tech goodies can do about it.
