NOKIA 5530 XpressMusic Pro Reviews

Softpedia‘s review Edit

Nokia 5330 XpressMusic is one of those phones that can get unnoticed at first glance, but become your best friend as soon as you start using it. It's the perfect communication tool for a youngster or someone that wishes to stay in touch with his Facebook friends, even on the go. However, the phone needs a little bit more work on the inside, as the interface is totally unattractive.

reghardware‘s review Edit

There are some compromises on features to get to the price, including a screen which borders on being too small for a touchscreen, the absence of 3G and GPS, lacklustre battery life and a mediocre camera. If you are on a budget and want to try the touch edition of S60 then this is your only option, but the overall experience is not in the same ball park as you’ll get with devices whose touch interface is designed from the bottom up, and the absence of higher end features arguably leaves this handset hampered in some key respects...

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The overall feeling was that the phone impressed beyond the sum of its parts, as although there were times when the 5530 XpressMusic frustrated us, it also performed well a lot of the time. The 5530 XpressMusic wouldn't be out of place against the heavyweight smartphones, although it would be among the worst on show.

Nokia's XpressMusic phones are a big success, and for good reason. The Symbian S60 operating system still needs a few tweaks to feel like a true touch screen OS, but Nokia has made headway in this arena. Future updates are likely to address the key complaints here. The 5530 is not a killer web or gaming phone, but when it comes to media, this one is strong enough to keep up with my daily use.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is a reasonably powerful handset with a full range of features, which also lives up to its mp3 player pretensions with regards audio quality. However, the lack of dedicated music controls, proprietary charging socket, cluttered hardware controls and generally clunky software interface leave significant room for improvement.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is Nokia's budget-oriented touchscreen smartphone, with a small 2.9-inch nHD touchscreen display, standard 3.5mm audio port, and 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera. The Symbian operating system, with Nokia's S60 5th Edition interface provides a nice finger-friendly experience and brings a load of powerful capabilities. While the battery life is exceptional and the music playback experience is quite nice, the lack of 3G support or a GPS receiver makes this phone a snoozefest for most smartphone users.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

The XpressMusic lineup is fired up and coming after you with all they've got - from QWERTY smartphones to touchscreens. In fact, with the arrival of 5530 XpressMusic, the Nokia music line has more touch phones than the Nseries. We told you, they're dead serious about it.

Today we are introducing the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, the second touch screen model of the company’s music series. We can definitely call it a younger sibling of the 5800 or its lighter version if you will...
