Sony Ericsson Aino Pro Reviews

reghardware‘s review Edit

We entirely see the point of a user interface offering quick access to media features, but surely this could have been coupled with full touchscreen access for all remaining features. Being neither fully touch nor fully non-touch is just irritating. The Aino is a good idea in theory, with enormous appeal to PS3 owners but, overall, the execution leaves a fair bit to be desired.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Sony Ericsson Aino's ability to wirelessly connect a PS3 is a great feature, but the limited touchscreen functions and its top heavy design diminish its wider appeal.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

We liked the Aino a lot when we got it out the box, and our opinion dwindled downwards from there. When the main selling point isn't fully functional (ie, the PS3 compatibility isn't up to speed) and both the camera and media player are slow to react, we're struggling to find a reason to recommend this phone.

The Sony Ericsson Aino's luscious display and multimedia offerings make it one of the better unlocked phones we've seen this year.

Register Hardware‘s review Edit

Its semi-touch operation feels awkward, but for PS3 owners the Remote Play console integration has definite appeal.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

The Sony Ericsson Aino offers features galore, but fails to wrap them into a package that really wows. There is a lot on offer here, but you feel like you have to work for it at times, finding the best route to get to the content you want. The link to the PS3 is a nice addition, but doesn't feel like a reason to buy the phone.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Sony Ericsson Aino doesn't have any major headline grabbing features but it certainly makes for a very accomplished slider phone. It's well built, looks elegant, is easy to use, and has a multitude of features including GPS, push email, an 8.1-megapixel camera, and comes with a dock and very nice Bluetooth headset adapter. If you don't want a fully-fledged touchscreen smartphone this is definitely an alternative to consider.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

Sony Ericsson are on the move recently and the Aino is very much part of the agenda. But living in the shadow of the Satio and X10 is not much fun we guess. So, the Sony Ericsson Aino is keen to live a double life. At first glance, it's a touchscreen PMP, but on a second look it's a regular slider phone with an extra big screen. It's not the ultimate PlayStation phone but it does have Remote Play, to wirelessly pair with Sony's PlayStation 3.

The Sony Ericsson Aino is a weird handset equipped with 3-inch screen that is touch-sensitive is just one, specific multimedia menu. You must be wondering if the whole idea is viable... Read on and you will soon find out...
