i actually like a lot of things about this phone, like its quick reply feature and its addition of a camera flash since the env2 didnt have one and its easy to type on keyboard and its great battery life, but its still not that great of a phone. i say this mostly because i really dont like that i cant fast forward through a movie. but other than that its pretty good and multitasks as well. at least with talking and texting.

I like my env3, It's not a bad phone, but the keyguard issues and random shutdowns are annoying. Your better off getting a different phone than dealing with these issues.

I don't feel the need to go through all of the features and tech specs of the phone because you pretty much get what's listed and advertised by verizon. I'd rather write this review from the point of view of some one who upgraded from the original enV.

Basically, this phone answered alot of enV owners' prayer as far as design changes go. It adds a slimmer body, a better messaging organization system [option to sort by contact and capacity to hold 500+ messages], a higher resolution camera, and more personalization options. It does all of this though, at the price of a buggy firmware that constantly resets the phone without warning and a somewhat less-snappy performance.

Feature I would have like to see on this phone [or would like to see on the pending enV4] are a better phone book organization system and contact search, a better camera [BRING AUTO FOCUS BACK], and less random phone resets

call reception is excellent, call quality is perfectly acceptable, though I do wish that the earpiece was louder at times

Basically it's a great phone, but as an upgrade from the enV2 it is not. I feel that the only improvement over the enV2 is that it has the full d-pad up front. I found that the enV3 is slower, it often resets itself abruptly, the T9 doesn't save words (A common problem amongst phones these days), and it just doesn't have the same appeal as it once had. Don't get me wrong, the colors are sweet, and the camera seems a bit better, but all in all I wouldn't see it as a mega-upgrade over its predecessor. Good phone, but since verizon put it on the premium device list, definately not worth it.
