Samsung Instinct HD Pro Reviews

SlashGear‘s review Edit

The Sprint Instinct HD by Samsung certainly has some strong features – its camera and, particularly, video capture abilities are good for a mobile phone, and build quality and hand-feel don’t disappoint – but we’re not sure it advances far enough to keep the Instinct range ahead of the game. It feels very much like a feature phone rather than a smartphone, where the Instinct – in its day – felt like it spanned both segments.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Samsung Instinct HD packs a lot of features and decent performance into an appealing design. But even with all it has to offer, we'd prefer to pay less and get a full smartphone.

Regardless of whether it was intentional or not, the Instinct HD is targeted for a select group of individuals. Digital media fans? The Instinct HD is for you. Road warriors and those that e-mail or text message on a consistent basis? Probably not, due to the strange reception and mediocre battery life.

The Samsung Instinct HD is a smartphone that emphasizes its high-resolution camera. It is touchscreen-based device and is the first in the Instinct series with Wi-Fi.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

In the end, the Samsung Instinct HD for Sprint is a nice phone, but one that doesn't live up to the hype. Yes, the HD video and still photo support is great, and the new touchscreen is quite beautiful, but the web browser experience is panfull, due to slow data, and the phone lags a bit too often for my liking. It will still please many people, I'm sure, but it is neither Sprint nor Samsung's best effort.

PC Magazine‘s review Edit

The Samsung Instinct HD is the first truly high-def video phone in the U.S., but you pay a heavy price for that in several ways. The Instinct HD gets its name from its capable built-in HD camcorder, plus its HD output for displaying video on a large television screen. It's also a decent phone, but it has poor battery life and seems to be buggy...
