Samsung Star Pro Reviews

reghardware‘s review Edit

The lack of 3G, Wi-Fi and other high-end features dull the performance of the Samsung Tocco Lite and certainly limit its appeal, especially compared to the similarly priced touchscreens such as Nokia's 5530 XpressMusic. Yet, operationally, the Tocco Lite's handling is consistent with other Samsung TouchWiz devices and offers a decent touchscreen experience.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

Despite going light on the big-ticket features, the Samsung Tocco Lite offers a decent way to get into touch control on a limited budget. It has its limitations, with its data connectivity hampered by a lack of high speed 3G and Wi-Fi, and there are compromises on other features. If you want a phone that offers bargain-priced touch operation and don't mind these limitations, this is a decent handset that's pleasant to handle.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

A couple of days ago Samsung announced they're selling a million Stars a month and expect sales to reach a total of 10 million units by the end of the year. To some it might sound too ambitious, but considering the nice touchscreen package and the low street price (below 200 euro), those projections are beginning to look more and more achievable.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Tocco Lite is a lovely handset with some annoying shortcomings. The lack of 3G is no surprise given its low price but the large screen made me wish for it (along with Wi-Fi and GPS). Oversized Widgets need some attention. But the touchscreen is very responsive and the balance between weight, handset size, and screen size is just about right.

LetsGoDigital‘s review Edit

Samsung Electronics, a mobile phone provider, announced that sales of the Samsung Star, its hugely popular touch screen mobile phone, surpassed the 5 million mark this month. The Samsung Star (model number Samsung S5230), launched in May 2009, is the fastest cell phone in Samsung’s history to reach the milestone. Launched first in Europe, one million of the Samsung Star cell phones were sold in the first month and a half alone, after which the company expanded sales efforts to include markets in CIS, Southeast and Southwest Asia, East-Central Africa, China, and Central America. The Samsung Star mobile phone has become a best-seller.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

The Samsung Star S5230 and the tasty LG Cookie are two of a kind, both directly competing for the hearts of customer, who are on the lookout for a touch sensitive screen phone that delivers decent functionality at reasonable price...
