PC Magazine‘s review Edit Like Unlike

Sprint's latest messaging phone, the LG Rumor 2, isn't bad. But the Samsung Rant, which the carrier is currently selling at the same price, is better in every way. If the Rant didn't exist, we could come up with reasons to recommend this phone, but given Sprint's current lineup, the Rumor 2 doesn't really make much sense.

The LG Rumor2 is a nice compact messaging phone, with both an easy to use numeric keypad and a comfortable QWERTY keyboard. The dedicated number row and smiley button on the slide-out keyboard are definitely appreciated, and the email support - both for web-based and corporate Outlook Web Access, is well implemented and easy to setup. Unfortunately, the attempts at multimedia support are laughable at best, and the web browser is incredibly limited.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit Like Unlike

The Rumor was a huge sales success for LG and Sprint, bringing QWERTY to the low end. It was not without issues however; LG’s charging port was notoriously bad, the keyboard and display had a tendency to go bad and the device continues to have a power cycling issue. Nearly a year and a half later LG has brought the Rumor’s successor to market, the creatively named Rumor 2 ...
