Sony Ericsson Satio Pro Reviews

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The Sony Ericsson Satio is a solid mobile phone with a 12.1 megapixel camera and large touchscreen. You can use finger swipe shortcuts on the home screen, and there's an excellent multimedia menu as well as GPS and Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack combines with the proprietary USB port to prevent this being a true multimedia gadget. The touchscreen is resistive rather than capacitive, and the Symbian user interface is inconsistent. All in all, the Sony Ericsson Satio is good without being outstanding.

ephotozine‘s review Edit

As I mentioned earlier, it is sometimes easy to forget that this is actually a phone, not a camera and for a phone, the camera is very impressive indeed. Like many camera phones, there are limitations, such as with dynamic range, and the general lack of contrast and colour. The auto focus system is slow, and the shutter lag is quite noticeable. Still, it is able to take images in a wide variety of conditions, often with an impressive enough level of detail, especially for a phone.

CNET Reviews‘s review Edit

The Sony Ericsson Satio packs in a lot of multimedia power, particularly in the camera department, but it also has a number of annoyances. You can get a better overall experience with other handsets and for a lot less.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Satio is a good phone, there's no doubt about that. The sheer amount of technology under the hood is testament to a good design team, and we can see a lot of photography lovers seeing it as their must-have phone.

Register Hardware‘s review Edit

A decent operating system and an above-par camera can’t save this expensive, uncomfortable phone from obscurity.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

Sony Ericsson need a winner right now and the Satio is the phone carrying the torch. It's equipped with a 12-megapixel camera, which puts it in an elite club. It failed to become the founding member of the club - that title goes to the Samsung Pixon12 - but the Satio offers a level of extra versatility available only on smartphones.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Yes the Sony Ericsson Satio takes a great picture, but a phone isn't just a camera, it has to do so much more than that and that's something Sony Ericsson has forgotten. The Satio is a smartphone that is neither smart, or really a phone.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

The Sony Ericsson Satio U1i is a very capable camera and multimedia phone. Its camera is among the best you can get on a phone and is certainly a rival to entry level dedicated compacts. Meanwhile the large screen makes for a great multimedia viewing platform. However, the clunky interface, below par build quality and basic email facilities severely dent its value.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

The Satio is Sony Ericsson's foray into the world of S60 based smartphones, and it joins the party while packing a large touchscreen and a very capable 12 megapixel autofocus camera.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

The Sony Ericsson Satio is manufacturer´s first device in several respects – the first equipped with 12-megapixel camera, the first to run Symbian S60 and the first all-in-on device in their range. Moreover, the cell phone comes with huge 3.5-inch display, Wi-Fi, GPS, 600 MHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor and support for OpenGL ES 2.0...
