Acer X960 Pro Reviews

reghardware‘s review Edit

Acer's second Windows Mobile handset is an improvement on its first but – its swishy UI aside – there's not really much to distinguish it from the other Windows Mobile 6.1 devices out there. Sure, it does the job, but the impression we get is that Acer is clearing out its Glofiish closet in preparation for more advanced devices, such as the recently announced Android models that are due later in the year. With that in mind, we’re inclined to save our pennies until we see the next batch.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

While we had a few minor gripes, overall the Acer X960 is an excellent smartphone for business users. With Wi-Fi, HSDPA and bluetooth connectivity, it ensures you have fast access to email and web while still offering a more consumer and fun UI.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

Overall it is a relatively middle-of-the-road offering from Acer. From a hardware point of view they provide the key tech specs that smartphone adopters are looking for, combined with the convenience and workplace support that Windows Mobile offers. Yes, you get Office Mobile, a great world time clock, email support and all the things that business users are looking for.

www.trustedreviews.com‘s review Edit

All in all it's hard not to feel that the X960 is a bit of a disappointment, especially after Acer managed to do such a good job with its sibling, the F900. The fact of the matter is that the X960 feels like a rather dated handset both in terms of design and the software shell Acer has loaded over the top of Windows Mobile 6.1. It's rescued somewhat by its good connectivity, but overall we have to say that there are plenty of other Windows-based smartphones on the market at the moment that we'd buy before considering the X960.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

While big in the personal computer space, Acer is a newcomer to the mobile world and is now offering smartphones under its brand, thanks to the acquisition of E-TEN.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

The Acer X960 is the manufacturer’s second attempt in the smartphone realm. It is based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and aside from looking quite well, it delivers the company´s new Acer Shell interface that also appears very promising and unique, although it hasn´t proved itself in real life yet...
