Ownership period: less than 3 months.

This is actually my girlfriend's camera, but I've used it several times and I think it is awesome! It is really simple to use, the shots it took were really good (for its price, don't expect to it be better than 400+ $ cameras) and it is essentially a great value.

Need another, daughter took it!

Ownership period: less than a week.

I got one on sale at Best Buy a while back, and never snapped one pic with it. My daughter did, and fell in love with it. I mean, that's daddy's little girl, I couldn't say no. The clarity of the shots she took was pretty darn good, had no idea she was such a shutter-bug!

Love this camera. I've had it for two years, and it must be the only digital device in my life that I am not tempted to ditch for a newer model. It's small enough to fit in a jeans pocket, has a good battery life, and is extremely easy to use. Literally point and shoot at anything; I've found it's hard to take a bad picture with this thing. A family member paid twice as much for the Canon Powershot S5 IS--despite all its extra features, its photos are, quality-wise, almost indistinguishable from that of this camera. And this is a lot less bulky to boot.

Great Camera!

Ownership period: more than 1 year.

Best Point-and-Shoot I've owned. I've used for countless occasionings, gatherings, shows, and trips. This camera just works for everything, and takes great pictures. I've never been happier with a camera. If you are going to get a camera get this one or another PowerShot Digital Elph series.

Canon PowerShot SD1100 IS

Ownership period: more than 1 year.

I have had this camera for over a year and I have to say that it is my favorite point and shoot that I have ever owned. The quality of the images are very good for such a compact camera. I love to use the macro feature for close up shots. For the average everyday user I think that it would be an above average camera to own. Highly recommended.
