HTC Touch Diamond2 Pro Reviews

Fudzilla‘s review Edit

HTC Touch Diamond 2 is the best looking HTC Windows Mobile device we’ve seen so far. Note that design wise it looks much more like the Touch HD than Touch Diamond. Diamond2 has a lot of functions the Touch HD has and it’s priced almost €100 less. Add to this the free upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5 and this phone is surely a great deal.

The Touch Diamond 2 is certainly not lacking in features, the Zoom bar works well, and it has a superb screen. As Windows Mobile devices go it is definitely one of those at the top of the tree.

reghardware‘s review Edit

The Touch Diamond 2 is the best all-rounder in the HTC canon so far. The screen is gorgeous, the browser excellent, connectivity is as good as it gets and the 5Mp camera is better than any we've yet seen from HTC. It has all the versatility options of Windows Mobile - plus the option to upgrade to version 6.5 later this year - without the disadvantages, since the TouchFlo 3D UI means you rarely need to look at the OS directly.

PC Advisor‘s review Edit

The HTC Touch Diamond 2 is a decent but not exceptional example but worth a look if you want to buy into smartphones with having to spend a king’s ransom.

The HTC Touch Diamond 2 has everything when it comes to phone and quality, in order to continue the success; the impact of its existence is only slightly less impressive. If you're looking for a new phone, you should at least make an effort to get your hands on an HTC Touch Diamond 2, for it is a highly interesting mobile phone!

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The MDA Compact V is a highly competent smartphone, packed with features and offering great usability. The slightly cramped keyboard won't suit all users, but it's definitely worth putting on your list.

TechRadar UK‘s review Edit

The Diamond2 isn't just a nip and tuck update of the original HTC Touch Diamond – it has some significant improvements which make it worth your attention. The Diamond2 is the do-it-all jewel in HTC's crown, and the most creditable alternative to the iPhone available anywhere at the present time

Well made, a load of goodies, and significant improvements to TouchFLO 3D make this the best touch-only phone from HTC so far.

The HTC Touch Diamond2 is, like Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way. The form factor is small and thin, the display is gorgeous, and the TouchFlo 3d interface is simply amazing.

GSMArena‘s review Edit

With each new phone released running the TouchFLO, HTC manage to sweep some more of Windows Mobile under the rug and replace it with their silky smooth interface. Touch-optimization is at a level where you can almost forget about the stylus.

Pocket-lint‘s review Edit

There are some niggles as always, however the majority of issues we experienced with the software were down to testing a unit that wasn't sporting the final ROM (release software). That said we've been promised by HTC that glitches we experienced with speed (one minute it was blisteringly fast the next minute caught in a confusion) will be gone by the time you, the consumer, get to get to play with the device.

We think the Diamond2 is perhaps the best Windows Mobile-based device that HTC has ever produced. TouchFlo 3D is now at a level where it provides a very fast and easy to use interface for most day-to-day tasks, and the new zoom control makes web browsing very satisfying - more so than with any previous Windows-powered HTC phone. However, as an overall package the Diamond2 is still not as slick or straightforward to use as the iPhone or even HTC's Android-powered Magic handset.

MobileBurn‘s review Edit

The HTC Touch Diamond2 is a really nice device, from the quality feel of the hardware to the slickness of its TouchFLO 3D software. The tweaked UI, upgraded camera, and new scroll bar are all top-notch, as is the additional memory provided to improve the multitasking abilities over the last Touch Diamond.

Phone Arena‘s review Edit

Тhe HTC Touch Diamond2 comes out to lend some more color to the otherwise nice, but aging model that was released last year. Hitting the shelves less than a year after its predecessor first appeared, the new smart phone doesn´t feature any ground-breaking novelties, but rather picks us where the previous model left off improving on blunders HTC made with the predecessor...
